Mona Itani MD, MS

Dr. Mona Itani is a Boston trained board-certified psychiatrist with a deep commitment and extensive training and experience in the delivering of effective psychedelics-assisted integrative mental health and trauma-informed care. In addition to providing medication and intervention-based psychiatric care, she is trained and experienced in several intensive psychedelics-geared therapy modalities, including Internal Family Systems parts-work as well as years-long training in ketamine/psilocybin/MDMA assisted psychotherapy. Dr. Itani finished a general psychiatry residency training at Tufts Medical Center then pursued fellowship training in addiction psychiatry at Boston University where she continued to work in this field. She then served as the psychiatrist and lead therapist at a prestigious interventional psychiatry clinic serving a population with a wide range of severe treatment resistant psychiatric challenges before joining Lumin in 2025. Dr. Itani offers a unique, multifaceted approach to healing, combining the rigor of academic psychiatry with the depth of psychotherapeutic exploration. She works with individuals experiencing challenges stemming from trauma, addiction, mood disorders, as well as those seeking personal growth through integrative modalities.
