Benjamin Yudkoff, MD, MA
Dr. Yudkoff is a board-certified psychiatrist who provides the most up-to-date psychiatric care to people managing illnesses that have not satisfactorily resolved with treatment as usual, and in a way which honors principles of autonomy, self-direction, and holistic approaches. He has lectured on spirituality and ketamine, is an Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and has taught a humanism course to residents of the Harvard Brigham and Women’s Hospital Residency Training Program. Dr. Yudkoff has served as the Medical Director of the Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and the Medical Director of the Interventional Psychiatric Service (electroconvulsive therapy, ketamine, and esketamine). Dr. Yudkoff has published scientific articles on ketamine and psychopharmacology, and has won several teaching awards from Harvard Medical School students and Brigham and Women’s Psychiatric Residents.

Aakash Sathappan, MD
Dr. Sathappan is a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist who also practices at Boston Children’s Hospital. With expertise in both pediatric and adult psychiatry, he treats individuals across the lifespan, focusing on interventional approaches for treatment-resistant conditions. He has specialized training in ketamine, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). Dr. Sathappan authored the first-ever guidelines for informed consent for ketamine in adolescents with treatment-resistant depression, a key clinical interest. He enjoys integrating breathwork, meditation, and various therapeutic modalities into his treatment approach. SJ Fletcher, MD PhD
Dr. Fletcher is a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist who believes in emotionally genuine, compassionate care to help patients develop and maintain resilience and stability in their long term health. She has trained in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy as well as MDMA-assisted psychotherapy through MAPS; she has particular interests in how psychedelic treatments can help treat some of the long-term sequelae of adverse childhoods, which can be notoriously challenging to treat. In addition, Dr. Fletcher specializes in attachment and mental health, with a primary focus on the lifelong consequences that can originate from disruptions in critical early relationships. Her interest in early life stretches nearly 2 decades, encompassing undergraduate and PhD level research focused on how illness during pregnancy can lead to poorer outcomes for both mother and baby. She completed her medical school training at Harvard Medical School and her residency at Harvard’s community hospital, Cambridge Health Alliance, where she continues to teach and mentor resident psychiatrists.

Mona Itani MD, MS
Dr. Mona Itani is a Boston trained board-certified psychiatrist with a deep commitment and extensive training and experience in the delivering of effective psychedelics-assisted integrative mental health and trauma-informed care. In addition to providing medication and intervention-based psychiatric care, she is trained and experienced in several intensive psychedelics-geared therapy modalities, including Internal Family Systems parts-work as well as years-long training in ketamine/psilocybin/MDMA assisted psychotherapy. Dr. Itani finished a general psychiatry residency training at Tufts Medical Center then pursued fellowship training in addiction psychiatry at Boston University where she continued to work in this field. She then served as the psychiatrist and lead therapist at a prestigious interventional psychiatry clinic serving a population with a wide range of severe treatment resistant psychiatric challenges before joining Lumin in 2025. Dr. Itani offers a unique, multifaceted approach to healing, combining the rigor of academic psychiatry with the depth of psychotherapeutic exploration. Their career includes roles at Boston Health Care for the Homeless as an intern and nurse, research assistant at Partners In Health during the Ebola epidemic, inpatient charge nurse, and helping establish the DEI Office at McLean Hospital. After earning their MSN, Terrin served as an NP at Eliot Community Human Services, strengthening therapeutic relationships with LGBTQIA+ clients. They also co-founded Black Lotus, a healing justice collective, and taught meditation.
