I've been doing Spravato treatments twice a week for a couple months now, but I haven't noticed any change in my mood/motivation so far. Generally how long should you be on it, before determining if it is/isn't personally working?
Answer:
Thanks Buon_ngu. You are now past the time when a person would anticipate having benefit. A person should try Spravato twice a week for four weeks. If it's not working at the end of those four weeks, the likelihood that it will work beyond that is low, indeed. Generally, if someone's not experiencing benefit after four weeks, I recommend stopping the medicine and putting the time/energy/cost into something that might be more beneficial.
Staying on the medicine twice a week for a couple of months is really beyond standard practice when it comes to trying to figure out if the medicine works for you or not. Most typically see benefits by the second-to-third week. Anything beyond four weeks where a person's not getting much benefit likely indicates the medicine is not working.
